Q: When doing a “Cut with line” how do I separate the objects that were cut?
A: Here’s how:
- Select the line tool from the PowerCADD tool palette.
- Draw a line through the objects that are to be cut apart and separated.
- The cut line must be selected and appear on top of the objects to be cut.
- Under the Tool Menu, choose “Cut By Line”.
- Handles will appear on the objects on both sides of the cut.
- The selection handles will disappear by clicking in the drawing or selecting the PowerCADD Selection Arrow.
- Select the part of each object to be separated then drag or delete selected piece.
Remember if edit all layers is turned on (checked), the cut will occur through all layers.
