Re: New PowerCADD screenshot!
A friend got this message from form•Z Support last week. Are we getting closer or is this smoke and mirrors? form•Z Support (form•Z Support) Sep 12, 2024, 17:54 EDT Hi ___, PowerCADD will be its own standalone application, where it will handle 2D information and formZ will handle 3D. v.10 is nearing...

Re: New PowerCADD screenshot!
I see a gap in comments between July 12, 2023 and October 17, 2023. Looks like a lot of posts/rants are missing.

Re: Archicad
Thanks for the feedback on Archicad and congratulations on making the switch. My last office (mostly) switched to Archicad before I left, since PowerCADD would not run on the newer Macs. The learning curve was extremely steep, and it took quite a few months to develop templates that made it more eff...

Re: PowerCadd 10
Same here: two computers. One for modern apps and one for PowerCADD. I store all files on iCloud so both machines have access at all times. No on site storage.
Will check out the Synergy app!

Re: getting harder and harder to translate and open dwg and dxf files
Thanks for the tip, Matt. I never knew about this app.
Unfortunately, that version of ODA File Converter is from 2018 and doesn't appear to translate recent versions of CAD.
The latest version of ODA File Converter only runs on OS 11. So not happening right now.

Magnetic Windows
Hello everyone.
I can't figure out how to use magnetic windows. I'd like to have my tool palettes stick together but when I check the box in Preferences/General/Magnetic Windows, nothing sticks. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks,
Jeff Snyder

Update of PowerCADD for MacOS Catalina
Alfred,
The models were Refurbished 2017 27" iMacs
3.4ghz i5 processors.
iTB drives
8 GB RAM
Downgraded to run 10.12 Sierra.
about $1400 from Apple. One year warranty.
We've been up and running for only a couple of days, so I'll report back if there are any glitches.

Update of PowerCADD for MacOS Catalina
We had to purchase new workstations lately. I have found that the sweet spot for us and PowerCADD is OS 10.12 Sierra. Mojave is a bit problematic, especially with our file server (Windows). We purchased-two late model refurbished iMacs from Apple which could be downgraded to 10.12, and the Apple Sto...
