Re: PowerCadd 10

Sorry if this was asked before, but will PC9 be able to open PC10 files, or do PC9 files get converted to a new format when opened with PC10? The reason I ask is because I'm contemplating using PC10 on a new Mac but keeping my old one around for cases where I really need to use WildTools to do some ...

Re: New PowerCADD screenshot!

Not sure what "UI elements" are User interface elements Who knows just what? As a software developer who has worked on a lot of UIs, I can tell you that getting the user interface right, especially when the whole infrastructure to support it has changed, is one of the most challenging aspects of a ...

Re: New PowerCADD screenshot!

For the handful of applications I need to use that don't run on Mojave, which is my desktop, I use my MacBook that runs the latest OS, and just mount my desktop's HD from my laptop. All the data files are still on my desktop so if I need to, I can get to those same files from either machine.

Re: New PowerCADD screenshot!

Thank you, David and Todd, for those updates. They give me a warm feeling that things are moving along. I think the only thing people are asking for in this forum is a brief, occasional update that things are moving along, vs. complete silence, especially since the previously mentioned milestone of ...

Re: New PowerCADD screenshot!

There doesn't seem to be any sense of urgency with this update process. I don't see any evidence that there is a lack of urgency. As a retired software engineer, I completely understand the challenges in a project like this. Initial estimates for how long something like this will take are almost al...

Re: Print dialog gone

I've had crashes like that, too. Also strange behavior with the user interface where some modifier keys would not work. In some of those cases, restarting PC did not help, but restarting my Mac always fixed it. Zipping up a working version is a good idea, but I always assumed I could effectively do ...

Re: Print dialog gone

My version is 9.1.11. The date-modified of the file is Jan. 30, 2020, so if you can believe that, nothing has changed since this problem started happening a couple of weeks ago. I'm actually unclear on how to reinstall PowerCADD. Delete the whole PowerCADD folder in my Applications directory and the...

Re: Print dialog gone

No I haven’t, because I can’t bear the thought of losing my customizations, pallets and preferences. Reverting to a previous working state should accomplish the same thing. If it doesn’t, reinstalling might not help either, and that would mean something else in my system outside of PCADD is the issue.
