Re: PowerCADD 10 Status

In Aug 22 David Kropp said "it's taking a little longer than hoped", certainly is, we're another 2 years down the line and still seems some distance away. I think most people must be struggling to hang on with old redundant machines that are not up to the job of running most other software. My bigge...

Re: PowerCadd 10

Is it only me, but does it not seem strange that these questions are only now being asked when, at the same time, we're told a public beta testing phase if about to begin?

Should have added that I'm talking about the tools we want to be incorporated into PC10?

Re: Vectorworks Architect

Hi I’ll email over some drawings when I’m back in the Office on Monday. Re 2D/3D. I tend to model the the building in quite a bit of detail. This will include foundations, walls, windows and door objects, roofs, 3D objects for kitchen units, shelving, bathroom fittings and main structural elements (...

Re: Vectorworks Architect

Some working drawing/details attached.

Plans and section created directly from 3d model with additional 2d annotations. Details drawn in 2d. Resolution not great as these files were created from hi res pdf files.

Happy to send better images direct if anyone is interested

Re: PowerCadd 10

Happy to share VW drawings. I’m still working on both PC and VW but all new projects have been exclusively VW for over a year. In terms of graphic output I can achieve exactly the same output from VW than I can with PC.

Re: PowerCadd 10

I suspect that the development of PC10 is being carried out more for the benefit of existing and potential new Form Z users rather than existing PC users. No one seems to know what the current numbers of PC users there are, but I suspect it's less than that of From Z users. We also know that PC user...

Re: PowerCadd 10

Hi Joyce I can second cadmonkeys recommendations regarding the VW university. Doing the the courses takes a lot of the frustration out of the process. I also can vouch for Johnathan Reeves, I paid for some one to one training with him (via zoom) and it was invaluable to getting things working the wa...

Re: PowerCadd 10

It sounds like we are all towards the latter end of our careers, I'm 61 and aim to eventually retire at 67 (UK state pension age for my age group). So my education was drawing board based and I too took to Powercadd due to the ability to replicate the techniques used on the drawing board. I used to ...

Re: PowerCadd 10

Hi Patrick I've been running 2 iMacs for a couple of years now, each sharing a second screen. I use the Synergy app which allows me to seamlessly use the same keyboard and mouse on both machines simultaneously and to copy and paste between machines. It works really well and allows me to jump between...

Re: New PowerCADD screenshot!

It’s all about getting the setting right when you export to pdf. Too high a resolution means large file size.
