Powercadd runs well under virtual Mojave OS installed under Parallels. See my previous post (p.4) for a link showing instructions.

Re: Update of PowerCADD for MacOS Catalina
Rik I sympathise! I have been using PowerDraw/Powercadd since 1988 and have been so concerned about having to choose between using it for my drawing work, or forgoing upgrades to the OS or the purchase of new computers that I need for the other programs I run, that I have looked carefully at and inv...

Re: You can run Powercadd under Catalina
You can change the screen resolution under Parallels by going to the view Menu - Retina Resolution and choosing between "More Space", "Best for Retina", "Scaled". I find "scaled" or Best for Retina both work well on my iMac

You can run Powercadd under Catalina
Sorry for the dual post but I did not want this to be lost at the end of a long discussion. You can run Powercadd within Catalina! You need Parallels or VM Fusion. I have Parallels as I need to run some Windows only programs. I followed the instructions at https://uk.pcmag.com/news-analysis/1230 ......

Re: Update of PowerCADD for MacOS Catalina
You can run Powercadd within Catalina! You need Parallels or VM Fusion. I have Parallels as I need to run some Windows only programs. I then followed the instructions at https://uk.pcmag.com/news-analysis/123012/how-to-run-32-bit-apps-in-macos-catalina to install Mojave before Installing Catalina. I...

Re: Update of PowerCADD for MacOS Catalina
I have been using Powerdraw/Powercadd since 1988 and it is still my program of choice for producing drawings. However, I do find working in 3D very useful. I use FormZ for this. I also have Bricscad which should do everything that FormZ and Powercadd do but is not intuitive and less suited to creati...

Scales and dimensions not working properly
Thanks Matt. You have probably saved me from having to learn AutoCAD or similar! I am increasingly frustrated with the bugs in and lack of an update for PowerCADD but have been using it for 31 years and it is still the best program out there.
