Re: WildTools Developments

Thanks for all the great work Alfred! On the Text tool, I have never liked "Advanced" Text. It does things like mirroring to backwards text and wrapping letters of single words. I don't find those features of Advanced Text useful. What I've always wished for is leader text with preset width (what wr...

Re: PowerCADD Future

Thank you Todd for pursuing this. I know that just because AutoSys is getting involved does not mean it will be successful without effort on your part. I am greatly encouraged by this news. PowerCADD is the reason our upgrades to new systems are on hold. At present this works, but not sure how long ...

Re: ILEXSOFT High Design Users?

I find it helpful to hear other PowerCADD user's experiences and ideas on migrating to another software when PowerCADD can no longer be used, which can happen for various people for various reasons. It will be a costly and painful experience, so finding the best solution(s) is important for those wh...

Re: PowerCADD Future

I've got Graphic and I think it can draw in scale. Maybe I'll have to start using it more. Or maybe I'll cough up the £150 for the emulator... I've forgotten about Graphite (Ashlar-Vellum). I kind of liked what I saw years ago. It seems worth checking out. The developers seem active but I haven't s...

Why Rhino?
ArchiCAD has 3d. Or you could use SketchUp if Rhino is so painful.

Re: Life after/beyond PowerCadd?

I started out with PowerDraw around 1988 with a Mac SE and though I trained in AutoCAD, I've stuck with PowerCADD ever since. It served me working in different circumstances and projects. It was never a barrier to fit in with the AutoDesk predominance.... Residential,multi-family, commercial, hospit...

Thank you. Todd. Many times over.

And thanks to all the people who contributed to making PowerCADD what it is (it still is!). Best of luck going forward!

Re: Dashed lines

Is there any trick to make dashes with smaller gaps to show up in a PDF file? The gaps show up perfectly if I convert to JPEG or PNG. Are you reducing the image in some way such as not printing at 100% or printing a portion of the file, reduce to fit? I haven't had an issue with dashes on most prin...

haha no.

But I haven't updated to the latest because, in general things are fine, so I don't want to rock the boat.

What do you want?

My priority wish list items. Keeping it under 5. Humbly submitted. !. Fix WT offset line bug that crashes PowerCADD occasionally. 2. Make "shift" key change tool modes in WT again. 3. PowerCADD: provide a command that unlocks all layers (maintaining current layer setup)-- so it is easier to get at a...
