Re: PowerCADD Future

Curiously, there doesn’t appear to be a PDF export from what I can gather - that would be important to implement for me and others here I’m sure. Not the biggest problem in the world, because on a Mac you can create PDF's from any application that can print via the print dialog box. I use this feat...

Re: Migration

All the times I've used migration assistant, I've just used it to move a user account, not applications or system. I read an article that's worth contemplating about why you may want to start over with a fresh user account from scratch, but I can't find it now. Not saying you should, but it worth th...

Re: PowerCADD Future

Alfred,

Actually, Illustrator and or PDF WITH layer support would be extremely useful. I believe there is a feature set for PDF with layers.

It's easy to produce a PDF now, but all layer information is lost in the process.

Wow, sad to hear this. Thanks for an excellent article. I really appreciated Perspective Tools as you can see by my own contribution to the PowerCADD Drawing Room.

Re: PowerCADD Future

I'm willing and interested in finding some pathway forward. It's utterly frustrating from this POV to watch a perfectly capable and fast piece of software cease to be because Apple decided to "improve" the platform. How is that an improvement? In the mean time, Trimble is trying to build a 2D surfac...

Re: Life after/beyond PowerCadd?

I haven't really thought this out completely, but it occured to me that PowerCadd ought to become a user owned cooperative... Interesting idea. I've gradually gotten to relying on SketchUp for a greater and greater percentage of my work, but it's still not good at 2D drafting. I've tried to start u...

Re: Font Replacement

...When upgraded to High Sierra, Avant Gard no longer worked. ... Exactly. I was on one machine with Sierra, and when I moved to a newer one on High Sierra, my office standard fonts broke. I've used Adobe Stone Sans family since 1990. (It's no longer sold by Adobe, btw) Also, by basic copy of Tekto...
