Re: New PowerCADD screenshot!

I can use PC10 to open DWG files then "save as" PC9 files.
That's interesting. Does it work the other way around too? i.e. open a PC9 file in PC10 and then save to DWG? I find the PC9 DWG translator problematic when translating dashed lines. It tends to create solid lines.

Thanks
David

Re: New PowerCADD screenshot!

I just wanted it to work on newer Macs. I feel the same and I think the main issue is that PowerCADD/WildTools has been developed over many years and as such is a very mature 2D CAD package. With such a small development team, just keeping version 9 working was a major undertaking without much rewa...

I switched to Vectorworks 10 years ago.
How did you get on with using Vectorworks with PowerCADD files? Did you have to use the DWG translator as a 'bridge'?

Re: WildTools Developments

Has there been an update? I haven't seen notification of one. It doesn't look like it's been updated yet. None of the file dates are later than 2nd January. In the meantime, if you keep the standard PowerCADD toolbox open, you can use the equivalent tools for the ones that have been Bozo'd. The off...

Re: WildTools Developments

Bozo Technology is at work there, Charles. Download and install the current release version of WildTools from the website in the Help >> WildTools Updates... Menu. The timer has been pushed out into the future. Until you're able to do that you can simply delete the squiggly element -- the clean one...

Re: New PowerCADD screenshot!

If it's a 2D view generated from a 3D model, there can be a lot of little broken lines and redundant lines; not an efficient 2D drawing. At least I see that coming from SketchUp model 2D views, so Vectorworks may not be any better. I get this a lot when I get sent DWG files from consultants. One of...
