Re: Life after/beyond PowerCadd?
What exactly is it that you’re trying to do with formZ Draft? Maybe I can help I'm considering learning to use it alongside Sketchup, which I've been using for nearly 20 years Not comfortable with the direction Trimble seems to be going I watched the YouTube video on using Draft but I have intermit...

Re: Life after/beyond PowerCadd?
… Opened one in formZ which has always been good to me on importing and exporting DXF's & DWG's Then used formZ to export as DWG … I have a question regarding Form Z if you use it… Been fiddling with the trial version of Pro and I can't get consistent results in the Draft module… Is it just buggy o...

Re: Update of PowerCADD for MacOS Catalina
Does anyone know if I'm already running Mojave in the computer AND also in a Parallel virtual machine, but want to upgrade to Big Sur (or the next OS) leaving the Parallels virtual machine to run PowerCADD, can I do the upgrade and the virtual machine will remain as is? Or... if I buy a new compute...

Re: PowerCADD Future
Thanks Todd, for all the work, and the sincerity. I have some question to all forum members... Does anybody knows if Parallels is still an option, and will it still be with the newest MacOS to come out this year and the new Apple chip machines? Or... Would I need two machines, keeping the oldest on...

Re: Mojave VM on an M1 Mac
Apparently Apple doesn't want OSX running on non-Apple hardware, so Apple "fixed" the OS so it won't run out of the box in a VM on anything but an Apple computer. There's a work-around to run on Windows or Linux but it's a bit like making a Hackintosh, so some functionality/reliability may be lost M...

Re: Mojave VM on an M1 Mac
I'll have to put Linux on one of my spare computers and try it then…Interesting... Never tried it..
May be licensing issues but I own the computer that had the Mojave OS…

Re: Life after/beyond PowerCadd?
The only way to survive the loss of PC is to jump to 3d, as an architect, I say Archicad, form best "drawing" (PC) to best "modeling", learning to automatically get all views from 3d model in real-modeling-time. If you're doing small-office work Sketchup is hard to beat…except it's gone to a subscr...
