Re: PowerCadd 10

I don't have any specific whining about PC other than what has already been said, but I would say that I am much more satisfied with the transition that Quicken made when it was modernized. I was concerned when Quicken was bought from intuit, thinking it would be run into the ground. Instead, the ne...

Re: PowerCadd 10

I’m running PowerCadd on a 2010 17” Mac Book Pro, while all my files are on my 2023 16” Mac Book Pro. I have been using Avant Gard as my default font since the old Apple LaserWriter days. For some reason, I frequently have to reset my default text and dimension font back to Avant Gard. I can’t disce...

Re: PowerCadd 10

Hi all, At the risk of getting myself in trouble I'll share the following observations on PC 10. I am one of the early beta testers and have signed a non-disclosure agreement to not discuss the beta. Hopefully this doesn't breach the agreement too far. Since receiving the first beta release some ti...

Re: PowerCadd 10

I just spoke with another architect yesterday, who had been using PC at his 6-person firm since the ‘90s, and he recently jumped ship to Revit. He couldn’t limp along with PC on outdated machines.

Re: PowerCadd 10

PowerCADD ran fine for me under Mojave on a late 2015 iMac. I moved and couldn’t bring the iMac with me, so I had to downgrade to a 17” PowerBook which can’t evolve past High Sierra, which is why I was running High Sierra on it (and using Synergy to share the mouse/keyboard with my M2 MacBook (runni...

Re: PowerCadd 10

Hi Patrick I've been running 2 iMacs for a couple of years now, each sharing a second screen. I use the Synergy app which allows me to seamlessly use the same keyboard and mouse on both machines simultaneously and to copy and paste between machines. It works really well and allows me to jump betwee...

Re: translating autocadd files

I too am trying to open DXF or DWG files in Powercadd. I know how to save them to DXF/DWG but not open those files. If you drag the DXF or DWG file to your PC icon, they should open. If they don’t open, they are probably a newer (unsupported) version. You can use ODAFileConverter to convert those u...

Re: PC won't launch

(Snip) P.S.Patrickm, I did not back up my preferences before deleting them, however, I've since done a fresh instal of PC, so that would create a new preferences file, right? I would assume it would create new preferences. When deleting the old prefrences, make sure to delete any that start with “c...
