Re: AxiDraw pen plotter

AxiDraw pen plotter
I received this pen plotter as a gift, and I am trying to think about some fun things to do with it. A pen plotter is a bit of a throwback, but its interesting and very accessible. It does not have a flat bed, so you just tape down a piece of paper in front of it, and the pen holder can hold just ab...

Re: Doing 'Paste and Match Style' in PowerCADD using Plain Clip
I’ve internalized this process - when I’m drafting I keep a TextEdit document open in plain text format. Anything coming into PowerCadd is first pasted into TextEdit and converted to plain text, copied again comes into PowerCadd and adopts the existing styles. Only takes a moment.

I found that Cisco uses little pictograms that are not line drawings. The ones I found were all bitmap icons. And there is literally like a hundred different symbols. I'm not sure it makes sense to add these to a tool palette. Perhaps better just as a symbol library. A lot of the symbols were for ne...

Standard computer network symbols

Re: PowerCADD Future
If there is no PowerCadd, then there is no WildTools. And if PowerCadd does not move forward to current OS versions, then as far as I’m concerned there is no PowerCadd. There is no choice for me. I need PowerCadd, with or without WildTools. I used it for years without WildTools, and I’d gladly do so...

Re: translating from sketchup model
Currently downloading SketchupPro free trial. before launching into an explanation of how to export elevations, sections, or plans, I suspect that the SU free trial will not allow you to export DWG files. I may be wrong about that, but if not you'll have to subscribe or ask the prior architect to g...
