Re: Life after/beyond PowerCadd?

I'm glad people are pursuing alternatives like HighDesign. Whatever works for you... All the chatter about HighDesign in this thread –– why are they not interacting with Todd right now and testing his XML exporter? Am I missing something? The guy from RealCad is all over the translator like a rat o...

Re: Life after/beyond PowerCadd?

Please just post there once, so it can allow us to quickly make a count of interested parties. No discussion of What Ifs there please, simply st...

Re: PowerCADD Future

Yes - Lets just start a new topic here: "Organizing to Move PowerCadd Forward" The first step is consensus on securing value for Todd in return for supporting a move forward. It could take many forms - we must identify something that Todd can be comfortable with. If one of our Admin's could create t...

Re: Mojave VM on an M1 Mac

Preview is not too effective at compressing placed .png files. If the content is placed .jpg's then yes, lots of control. But .png's generally do not want to compress down and the file size will not reduce, at least with Preview's controls.

Re: Creating Tables‽

(I just fiddled with it a bit, and it works great, allowing better formatting than the PC table feature.) Yes - any formatting you do in Numbers comes in. Its like you've printed a PDF and placed it, except you just copy and paste and bypass the printing - select the entire table, or just the cells...

Re: PowerCADD Future

It might well be that the idea of a users co-operative who collectively own this software and pay to keep it going - not for commercial but for reasons of continuity could be an option if the right people are found. Can we as a group, with Todds blessing, conduct a feasibility study into the cost o...

Re: Creating Tables‽

I usually just do tables in Numbers - then literally copy and paste them into PowerCadd, and they come in as a placed PDF.
