Re: WildTools Developments

Patrick, I’ve now checked the Receptacle tool here with my current WildTools and it behaves the same as you describe. I’ll try to revisit this as I have time, but I have other things that have to come first. I don’t know what version you have on your machine. Matt Arnold came up with a number of add...

Re: Acclimating myself to PowerCADD 9 from 6

Howard,

You can right-click on the toolbar and choose Customize Toolbar.

There is also a Hide Toolbar choice which works, but I don’t have a clue how to turn it back on.

Maybe just get used to it and leave it alone...

WildTools Developments

I'm making very good progress with getting WildTools running with the current shipping version of PowerCADD. It’s been a number of years since I could compile and run WildTools with PowerCADD, but yesterday I reached that point again. Lots of problems to be fixed, but Importing Shapefiles, survey da...

Re: New Old Topic- moving from PowerCadd 6 to 9

John, I also have a Mid 2011 iMac 27. I wanted to go to a SSD. When I first bought it from Apple, I shipped it off to OWC and they put in an internal 240GB SSD as HD. The spinning hard disk is named HD2 on my machine. Later I wanted more. I love OWC, and I tried to buy a SSD using a connection metho...

Re: New Old Topic- moving from PowerCadd 6 to 9

Howard, PowerCADD uses only a single processor. However a second processor will be used automatically by the OS during printing, but it all happens so smoothly that it’s hardly worth thinking about. No question that running on a SSD will make a huge difference in performance of your machine with all...

Hope all are doing well...

I've heard from Joe Burke recently. He has had a stroke and now lives in Easton, PA, to be near his daughter. He no longer has a Mac, now iPad and iPhone only. When I got started I knew almost nothing about CAD, but I had the experience of teaching myself drafting working on the Falco drawings. So I...

WildTools Developments

Patrick, I think I’ve fixed that in the past year. As I recall, the text rotation was getting flipped with the electrical tools in Doors & Windows. It was a simple fix once I was able to isolate the problem. I seem to remember it was fine when you clicked in white space, but flipped when you had cli...

WildTools Developments

Just to keep everyone up to date, I’m making progress with getting WildTools to compile and run with the current shipping version of PowerCADD. I’m dealing with subtle programming details such as link errors. All of WildTools will compile, and WildThing compiles and links but with some problem thing...

Re: 64 Bit PowerCADD - Coordinate System changes

Jim, We had a number of ways to import Shapefiles, survey data, DXF in WildTools but it was a prerelease feature that expired. Right now I’m working on a version of WildTools that will bring this stuff back. This will run with the current shipping version of PowerCADD. You will be far better off dea...
