Re: Life after/beyond PowerCadd?

Now, to answer your question regarding PowerCADD's file format. First, be aware, PowerCADD files are not trivial! I am not opposed to sharing PowerCADD's file format, but the specification is only fully defined by the code. Engineered Software would be unable to provide technical support regarding ...

Re: PowerCADD Future

So here are some specific questions for how I can proceed. What is the most recent Mac OS that will run the current version of PC? What is the most recent version of PC and what is the maximum compatibility of it with which OS? I have been limping along one last iMac that runs Sierra OS. It is a cu...

Re: Life after/beyond PowerCadd?

Looking at the Ilexsoft.com web site for High Design, I am impressed that they are already running software that is compatible with Apple's new M chip. Makes me wonder if Todd Stanley exaggerates both the difficulty of translating PowerCadd to current Mac OS compatibility, or the difficulty of hand...

Re: Life after/beyond PowerCadd?

Bonjour, I know HighDesign from Ilexsoft because, as my software RealCADD, he is written with Xojo which can compile now for Mac M1. I have a beta version of RealCADD which runs natively on Mac M1. I understand the difficulties of Todd to made a new version of PowerCADD. It is true that Apple doesn...

Re: PowerCADD Future

5. Leave (sell) to other guys/company the development of PowerCADD. Why not? Draws like no other cad. In order for that to be successful there would need to be economic viability for a purchaser. The bar for economic viability is dramatically lower for Engineered Software than is would be for any c...

It is with a heavy hearts and much sadness that Engineered Software’s announcement of PowerCADD’s future must be made. You have been a diverse, eager and exciting group of people to work with and your loyalty to PowerCADD has been appreciated and will be remembered for a lifetime. The employees here...

Re: Update of PowerCADD for MacOS Catalina/Big Sur

Euan et al., We receive many requests per day regarding the 64-bit version of PowerCADD. I have had a few customers request that I post updated information on the forum regarding PowerCADD 11. This is what we are expecting for release at this point. As has been discussed earlier in this forum, Power...

PowerCADD Direction

Alfred’s forum posts and notes to beta testers regarding WildTools 10.6 have caused some confusion about the direction of Engineered Software and PowerCADD. This email/post is to clarify Engineered Software’s direction regarding PowerCADD. In 2014 Engineered Software began the conversion of PowerCAD...

Don't Install Catalina

Our expectation at this point is that PowerCADD 10, the 64-bit version, will be available late 2020. PowerCADD 10 will be finally free from all legacy portions of the OS. As such, it will support the modern and evolving interface capabilities of the OS moving forward. The PowerCADD 9 user interface ...
