Re: PowerCADD - SketchUp Interaction
I'm a long time PC and SU user, but my SU abilities are analogous to old (physical) chipboard study models, mainly for massing and to show allow clients to understand my 2d PC plans. My work flow and fees don't allow me to go overboard with SU. My main issue with SU is the ongoing cost of the curren...

Re: Frozen with spinning cursor
When I edit a dimension, I hit "command E", then "tab", which selects the text in the dimension edit window, then I type in the new text, which replaces the default text without "deleting" any text. If that doesn't work you might back up all your PC preferences, delete them, then see if it works wit...

Re: Well Duh moments
What cracks me up is when I receive a floor plan for a brand new building and the overall dimensions are to some small fraction like 64’-0 3/64”, like that’s going to happen.

Another option might be to set the drawing scale to metric, draw the plan, then select all/cut/set the drawing scale to imperial/paste special at scale. Lots of ways to skin a cat. I do wish I could let the nudge box do math, though.

Re: AxiDraw pen plotter
That is kind of fun to watch (& listen to)! I don't even own any technical pens any more. What's next in the time machine: Leroy Lettering Guide or Addfeet Junior?

Re: What Mac OS are you running?
I must say that after a couple days of working on my late 2015 iMac with Mojave installed, I feel like I have a new computer. It seems so responsive, crisper and generally better than it was under Sierra. PowerCADD has been running just fine, as has my older versions of Excel. It is nice to be able ...

Re: Doing 'Paste and Match Style' in PowerCADD using Plain Clip
I’ve internalized this process - when I’m drafting I keep a TextEdit document open in plain text format. Anything coming into PowerCadd is first pasted into TextEdit and converted to plain text, copied again comes into PowerCadd and adopts the existing styles. Only takes a moment. That's a great id...

Re: What Mac OS are you running?
Since High Sierra seemed to be working out, I went ahead and upgraded to Mojave 10.14.6, and it seems to be working out, but I haven't really torture tested it through a day of work. Anyhow, I am really surprised how snappy and responsive my computer seems under Mojave. I had expected it to feel bog...

Re: CRASHING
I occasionally have a different crashing issue than you have, but I've found that sometimes replacing the Preference files solves the problem and sometimes running the OS maintenance scripts solves the problem, probably due to a permissions issue. (I run them using OnyX.)
good luck!
