I am running Mojave (10.14.6) on my current Mac. The T230 seems to print with no problems. You will have to download the printer driver from HP's website- they will give you the link to do so. HP has MacOS printer drivers.

You could call the ink cartridges “tanks” as they are quite large....
On Canon's wide format printers, Canon themselves calls their cartridges "ink tanks." ;)
