A little strong Matt?
Re: PowerCADD Future
you might think so. Seems to me all the changes in the most recent generations of Apple's products serve to benefit Apple, to the detriment of their customers. They take 30% off the top of app store purchases, and lock you in there. They make their computers operable within only their universe of hardware. Have you priced a connector cable from them lately? Prices are 10x to 20x what a comparable PC cable is. Priced Apple memory lately? LOL. it is hard soldered on the boards of the just-announced generation of machines, and they charge more than triple the market rate per gigabyte.
They store your searches, your Siri queries, your applewatch data. And if you think they don't exploit this info for their benefit, you have your head in the sand. Facebook and Google are marginally worse, but Apple is no longer on my team, and it isn't because I have changed. They are convinced that because they make computers, they should be able to dictate what you think and what you buy, and they should be able to set your moral compass pointing in the "correct" direction. Fuck them with a rake.

As the experts are saying... there are a lot of people suffering from PTSD, and expectedly so, and... as evidenced by this forum.

Help me out. Show me where I'm wrong.
...Oh, that's right, you can't.

My experience is that whenever someone sets up a howl on the forum, it’s a harbinger of software improvement.
Working on a couple of things now.
And I found the Apple Event to be both humbling and inspiring.

Alfred,
I've had Macs since January of 1984 and I was also humbled and awed by their newest computers. The raw power is incredible, and the prices are not that bad compared to the original - 1984 & $2,500 for 128k Mac, $675 for the ImageWriter, $500 for an additional floppy drive. And I'd willingly do it all again.
Cheers,
Ralph
and looking forward to the future of PCADD!!!!!

It's about time...
Any news from the developer(s)? A timeline? Beta testing?
Re: PowerCADD Future
In anticipation of your proposal, I guess Apple will have invested in rake manufacturing for their Walled Garden ?

How awful it is that Apple makes super powerful computers that draw so little power. It's just a damn shame.. ![Mr. Green ](./images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif)

Re: PowerCADD Future
So you want Apple to make really great stuff, better than all others but sell it at a comparable price to substandard intel computers? I don't understand the argument. Everyone is free to choose to buy a computer from other companies.
