Reference cross hairs

Post by Paul H » Wed Dec 08, 2021 5:30 am

I seem to have lost or it's been removed or I've done something to eliminate the capacity to have reference lines with the cursor. I've taken it for granted for so long I'm not sure what it's even called. However it's gone and it's always been a great resource.
Any help activating it again would be greatly appreciated if that's possible.

I'm including two simple png's as an example of simply moving a line up to be aligned with the top of a square.

Thanks,
Paul the bozo

From the description it sounds like you're looking for is in the Preferences Dialog:

PowerCADD menu > Preferences menu > Tools > Long Crosshair & Snap Crosshair

Check those both on and it should do the trick

If Snap Crosshair is off but Long Crosshair is on the long crosshairs will not 'jump' to the snap point

Hope that helps
Cheers

Hmm, looks like there is a bug with WildTools as the crosshairs disappear whenever the Button Dock is visible.

Wow, so simple and a humbling moment. Thank you all for such a quick response and solution.
I simply couldn't remember what it was called and I knew it had to be available.

As I recall, with the button docks and other display stuff, I redraw the screen with every move of the mouse, so I guess that’s why there is an issue with cross hairs.
