Mike Cleveland

Post by Alfred Scott » Thu Dec 09, 2021 9:10 pm

I just heard from Marcia Cleveland:
Sad news- Mike passed away on Tuesday. He had a blood clot in his leg and it went to his heart and lung. He was gone very quickly. We are heartbroken. He thought so much of you.
That's terrible news. I've known Mike as long as I've known the Stanleys and PowerCADD. He had the temperament needed to deal with users. I remember him telling me once "I had 15 people scream at me today."

From David Waizenegger Tatzel (who worked at Engineered Software years ago):
I’m so sorry to hear this, but appreciate you letting me know.

Mike was one of the most helpful, thoughtful, and kind people I’ve ever known in all my life. A great mind, very clever, and so genuine and good with people. As a friend and mentor, I learned so much from him — and carry that good spirit of his as part of me in my work today. The world is dimmer for his loss & my heart goes out to Marcia and Kristen.

I hope you are well too, Alfred.

Best Regards,

—David

A gentle soul gone home. He had an impossible job and he did it well, with grace and humor.

Although I only spoke with Mike less than a dozen times at PowerCadd, I really enjoyed my conversations with him on the technicalities of PC and the fact that he was very nice and kind man. He will be missed. My prayers to his family.
