John,
What mac OS is the T230 compatible with - website does not list operating systems.
Thanks
I am running Mojave (10.14.6) on my current Mac. The T230 seems to print with no problems. You will have to download the printer driver from HP's website- they will give you the link to do so. HP has MacOS printer drivers.

Back in 2010 I had a Canon 36" wide format printer. It used ink tanks…
You could call the ink cartridges “tanks” as they are quite large....
On Canon's wide format printers, Canon themselves calls their cartridges "ink tanks." ;)

John,
1. Is your HP directly connected to the computer via USB or other?
2. I am running OS 11.6 Big Sur, is a driver available from HP or do I need to download from the HP site?
Fred

The large format Canon cartridges are tanks in as much as the print head is not incorporated into the cartridge – and they are not installed on to the print head either - they are on each side of the carriage and piped to the print head. My 24" carriage model follows this configuration more like a large scale commercial printer. The larger carriage Cannon's seem to have cartridges in different sizes so you can install larger tanks than mine takes. The cost per ml of ink is much lower than the alternate 24" printer from HP when I got mine.

Greg,
I am actually considering both the Epson an d Canon 24" printers although my 24" HP has been very good to me in the past. The Canon Image Prograph TA-20 seems like it would do the job for me, however I may have to go to NYC to see it it person before buying.

Fred
1.Fred, my new HP is connected vis USB.

2.I'm still running OSX 10.14.6 Mojave (no thanks to PowerCADD). You might ned to download the driver from HP'S Site as no DVD is included. But HP gives one the ability to do this without much hassle.

John,
How good is the roll loading procedure compared to your (our) last printer? reviews have not been very good.
