New PowerCADD screenshot!
Re: New PowerCADD screenshot!
Yes, tangent and perpendicular snaps I haven't found to work in any version as yet. I consider that core functionality that needs to be there for a base release. They were there in the first release in the 1980's. That's a pretty good litmus test for features: what functionality was present in PowerDraw 1.0?
Re: New PowerCADD screenshot!
I am currently limping along running PC9 on a 2010 17" MacBook Pro under High Sierra, mouse/keyboard sharing (via Synergy) with a 2023 16" MacBook Pro under Sequoia. While I am eagerly awaiting a fully functional version of PC10, I have found a benefit of the PC10 beta: I can use PC10 to open DWG files then "save as" PC9 files. The translator seems to work really well with current DWG versions and avoids me having to use ODAConverter to create an older DWG version file that PC9 can open directly.

That's interesting. Does it work the other way around too? i.e. open a PC9 file in PC10 and then save to DWG? I find the PC9 DWG translator problematic when translating dashed lines. It tends to create solid lines.I can use PC10 to open DWG files then "save as" PC9 files.
Thanks

I just checked, and in PC10, the "save as" options are PC10 or PC9 and the "export" options include DWG and DXF, but I just ran a test and those don'e seem to work as of yet.DavidScottOrkney wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2024 9:49 amThat's interesting. I use an online one called Online-Convert. Works really nicely and can do multiple files at once. Takes ma less than 1 minute. I think i pay like $8 for 250 conversions.
