I never knew about HighDesign...thanks for the lead. This is probably a subject for a new post over on the "Other CADD programs" list...but id be interested to know if any PCADD users have tried HighDesign and their opinion?

Question #2: Can any of the beta testers let the rest of us know, does PC10 "feel" like Powercadd?...
Lester, per the information I shared back in October:

"The current status is, IMHO, that nobody will need ANY retraining to use PC 10. I anticipate any user of PC 9 will be up and running with PC10 in no time. Some things are in new places but on the whole it's about 95-98% of PC 9. I can't go into specifics here but PC10 has all the same feel of PC 9."

I hope this goes some way to answering your question.

Derek

I have three questions, none of which have anything to do with a release date (you're welcome).

Question #1: Will PC10 be a standalone product, or will it be the 2D element in Form Z? So will I be able to update or buy PC10, or will I have to buy Form Z in order to use PC10?

Question #2: Can any of the beta testers let the rest of us know, does PC10 "feel" like Powercadd? Or does rewriting the code for the 64 bit processor take away the incredibly elegant simplicity of the UX? I am always on the lookout for a replacement to PC, but none of the suggested replacements comes close, and I'm starting to think that there is a distinct possibility that PC10 will lose its simplicity in order to keep up with the times.

Question #3: Will it work with the new M3 chip that ships with all the new Macs?

Thank you.
Question #1: PC10 will be standalone like PC9
Question #2: PC10 feel like PC9 and better
Question #3: PC10 work with Intel, ad all Apple Silicon processors and all present and new macOS Systems from macOS 10.12 and above

I am using PowerCADD on an iMac (late 2015) with Mojave 10.14.6
Does anyone know what the latest system upgrade is that will work on my iMac that will not crash PowerCADD? Any help is truly appreciated!

It seems the Beta version is imminent! Very excited.

Looks like an upgrade to OS12 is necessary to run PC10 (which will not run PC9), so a bit of a hold your breath leap unless you've got a bunch of macs sitting around.

Can't wait to give the new version a try!

Are those of us who might be chosen to participate supposed to divulge this information publicly?
