Thank you for the update, I’m sure it will be worth the wait. Mean while I remain very productive using pc9 on my 2017 iMac with 3 monitors and a Mac Studio for current software that needs it, a minor inconvenience but not the end of the world, and definitely better than moving to other software-I’ve tried them all, including revit which was an absolute productivity killer.

... Sometimes I wonder why I bother.
I'm still listening even if I don't talk that much. Still hanging in there with a two machine setup now: PowerCADD on one and SketchUp on the other running Monterey.

Derek, Thank you for the update, ANY update is better than none! I'm one of the folks waiting, and chugging along with a 2 computer setup, looking forward to the update ASAP!

Do you know yet anything about how it will be sold/packaged? I haven't seen any description, is it going to be a standalone, or part of a FormZ suite, and whether it will be a "subscriber only" model or not. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Escott

Sorry Escott, I don't have any information about that. (and it is not that I do and can't say :) )

I've been using PowerCADD since the late 80's. Many times I wondered about switching to another program but never felt that there was anything better to go to. But now I'm so frustrated at the length of time this "upgrade" is taking with no information or update on the status of the "upgrade". I tried calling engsw but never got an a response. Looking at the Forum comments has only furthered my frustration. I had to buy an old iMac a few years ago just to be able to continue working. When it dies I don't know what the next step will be, out of work or back to the drawing board.
Now that I have finished venting my question to all of you is: What is a good alternative to PowerCADD? Please....

If necessary I plan to try “High Design”: https://www.ilexsoft.com/index.html

I like the look of High Design too; however, I am also tempted to try Rhino 8.0 2D. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQDhLqg ... U&index=10

The keyboard on my laptop is beginning to fail, so I may need to buy a new laptop soon. With no communication from the developers, I too will have to, sadly, say farewell to PC.

I have three questions, none of which have anything to do with a release date (you're welcome).

Question #1: Will PC10 be a standalone product, or will it be the 2D element in Form Z? So will I be able to update or buy PC10, or will I have to buy Form Z in order to use PC10?

Question #2: Can any of the beta testers let the rest of us know, does PC10 "feel" like Powercadd? Or does rewriting the code for the 64 bit processor take away the incredibly elegant simplicity of the UX? I am always on the lookout for a replacement to PC, but none of the suggested replacements comes close, and I'm starting to think that there is a distinct possibility that PC10 will lose its simplicity in order to keep up with the times.

Question #3: Will it work with the new M3 chip that ships with all the new Macs?

Thank you.
