Great news. While I'm looking forward to seeing the first release of PC10, as designers we all know that completion of a complex project can be a moving target.

This is great news. Thank you David for letting us know. I will keep running PowerCadd 9 on my 2019 iMac until PowerCadd 10 is ready.
Alfred you have been a very big part of why I chose PowerCadd for my drawing software, I appreciate all your hard work and that you are willing to make this difficult decision. You have always done what is best. Thank you, Thank you!! I am forever grateful for Wildtools and for your help when I needed it. Plus you made me laugh!!!

Great news that WildTools is to be incorporated into PC v10 as a later release….

What I hope isn’t going to happen, is the breaks being slammed on in respect to delivering PCV10 imminently, to accommodate the integration of WildTools - We have waited far, far, far......too long for this release.

I wonder however, whether v10 will enable backward compatibility to v9 - If it could this could provide temporary continued access to WTs, if anyone was interested in running two operating systems….

So I assume we are almost there with at least extended beta testing available by the end of August 23, to those of us who have signed up………Here's hoping, but I'm used to not holding my breath!

Todd has said that PC10 WILL open PC9 files.

PowerCADD 10 is our focus at this time! WildTools will come after.

PowerCADD 10 can open PowerCADD 9 files. PowerCADD 10 will also offer a way to save back to PowerCADD 9, however, as there is information stored in PowerCADD 10 that PowerCADD 9 does not know about, some information will be lost in the process.

It is great to see an active PCADD forum! I know that lots of people now use the internet as their safe place to act out and this will never go away, but I am glad that David & Todd are here. For the little amount of time it takes in a day it is most welcome.

Hi Patrick

I've been running 2 iMacs for a couple of years now, each sharing a second screen. I use the Synergy app which allows me to seamlessly use the same keyboard and mouse on both machines simultaneously and to copy and paste between machines. It works really well and allows me to jump between machines instantly. Each has a separate SS hard drive for back up via time machine

Regards

Keith
Thank you so much for mentioning Synergy to me. I bought/installed it and upgraded my old (2010) 17" MacBook Pro from Sierra to High Sierra, and I am off and running. Using the same mouse/keyboard for both computers really helps (and is better for my posture). Thanks for enlightening me!

I looked into Synergy and from what I see in their hardware requirements, they dont support any MacOS older than 10.14. I presently use High Sierra (10.13.6) which I believe is the LAST OS that powercadd will operate on??? So is anyone using Synergy using High Sierra?
