PowerCadd 10
Re: PowerCadd 10
Todd asked for a note of which Wild Tools we would like integrated into the new PowerCADD.
Based on responses from our team of 10+ PCadd users the priorities are attached.
The Trim Tool is the most crucial one for productivity.
Looking forward to testing the Beta!

Re: PowerCadd 10
These line up with my usage as well.
Nobody asked me, but for what it's worth, I use "Move Points" and "Rotate Points" all the time. Also the "Wall Trim" tool

Re: PowerCadd 10
Oh, great question! My biggest concern about the emergence of PC 10 is possibly NOT having Wild Tools and actually still working in PC 9 because of that.
Absolutely, positively the one most important above all else is Move Points, and I'm sure I speak for a friend as well.
After that are linear move, duplicate, repeat and distribute.
This is my Blossom palette.

Re: PowerCadd 10
The Tornado Tool has been really useful to me. I'd like to see that incorporated into a subsequent release of PowerCadd.
I'd favor incorporation of all wild tools with the exception of the Perspective Tools. And I'm with Rob on the importance of the Move Points tool, as that amounts to PC's version of "associative dimensioning."

The Move Points tool has also been extremely useful. The Wall Trim tool is very helpful in tidying up a drawing.
I agree with John that the perspective tools, although interesting when first introduced have never been used here.
When I was doing more commercial work the Grid Line tool came in handy so I imagine it still has its use for others.

Re: PowerCadd 10
There is a Move Points tool in the main PowerCADD palette, though the Wild Tools version has more options.
It is the furthest right of the Paint Bucket tool.
I still by force of habit try to find the Move Points... command in the Tool menu, but it disappeared from there several years ago!

The WT Door and Window tool pallet is essential!

Re: PowerCadd 10
can I please get a beta test even though I am in the UK
We are an office of 10 PC users and currently upgrading machines so woudl be extremely useful to avoid using to screens and test the beta before we all switch once it is released.... soon...?

Me, too. I’d be interested in beta testing, as a user of PowerDraw since the early 90’s. You can send me a private message.Jean Claude EuanCADD wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2024 2:46 pmcan I please get a beta test even though I am in the UK
