Since it appears that PC10 will fully arrive sooner rather than later I have a few questions:

3. Some sort of mode space/papers pace implementation for PC like Layout?
I imagine they have enough on their plate just to recover the original functionality of PC9 on the new platform.

I was admitted to the beta program last week and finally had a chance to download, install, log in and open a PC9 file. So far, so good, but immediately I was aware of how much I use key commands (which I haven't configured yet) and WT's "zoomer" (which isn't included). After I do some work in PC9, I'll play with PC10 some more.

Fred, are you registered to test PC10 yet?

Does anyone have information on the expected duration of the Beta testing period?

I joined the beta program last week, and received an email with instructions to download an update this morning, which I interpret as a positive sign of progress. I had the opportunity to whip out a simple roof plan using PC10, and things worked great. What will slow me down is the lack of customizable key commands, lack of many of the WT tools that I've come to rely on, and having one foot in the PC9 world and one in the PC10 world. So far, seems to be on its way to becoming a viable cadd program.

Yup.
Transitioning from relying on Wildtools and conventions to PCadd tools and conventions has inhibited me from giving PCadd 10 a thorough testing. I am progressing though.
With that said, I like the interface and am pretty optimistic this is turning into what I hoped for.
On the latest build I've established key commands that are important to me (I realize they'll likely disappear with a new build, but they're pretty critical for me to function fluidly and efficiently. I printed the commands to pdf as a reference to re-establish if necessary-- shouldn't take too long.
The one thing I hope is turned on soon is the ability to tab into the edit window when editing multiple selections eg the move points tool.
Best to all!

Hi;

Anybody knows if PC10 has a "scale" command with numeric input (make an object x2 or :2), I can't find it.

(Also I remember pc9 had a "wall tool" with doors and windows (not wildtools, I think), can't find it in current PC10).

Many functions are not yet implemented in the current beta, so I don't know if they exist but are inaccessible for the moment, or if they need to be added...

Try as I might, I couldn't find global/relative live dimension display at the bottom of the window (i.e. where you "click" anywhere on the screen, and it resets x:y to zero then you can do a relative measure, etc). I think I saw where it was on the pulldown menus, but it was greyed out. This seems like a pretty fundamental feature to be inactive if the beta program is to be useful.
