DXF File transfers

Post by arogerr » Tue Jun 25, 2024 3:56 pm

Whats the latest version to AutoCad DXF file, PowerCad 9 will accept. Recently I requested a file coming from a recent version of Acad but PowerCad couldn't open it. I had to request the oldest version of DXF they could save as. I believe they saved it as v2012. The file did import but a lot of stuff was missing. I've given up on requesting DWG files, only to know run into issues with DXF files.
This is getting embarrassing!

Look in your PowerCADD application folder, and somewhere in there is an application called ODAFileConverter. Use that application to convert DWG files to older versions.

Tried opening the app you referred to and MacOS will not open it because "developer cannot be verified! Tried on both my old and new computer and got same warning!

I think if you go to System Settings>Security & Privacy, you can change the setting to allow the app to open.

In the Finder, right-click on the application and select "Open". This should reveal an option to proceed in the warning message.
