.FileLock suffix

I updated to PowerCADD 10 yesterday. Now I am getting a new folder when I save a file. The folder is empty. The folder's name is the same as the file name but has a .FileLock on the end.

Has anyone seen something like this? I does not appear to affect anything (so far).

I have a number of clients using PowerCADD V9 who are getting this problem. It happens across multiple Operating Systems. 10.12.x, 10.13.x and 10.14.x. The filelock folder appears went the drawing file is either on the desktop or on a server with an accompanying warning message. Nothing goes wrong and the folder disappears when the drawing is closed BUT if PowerCADD crashes when the file is open, you cannot open the drawing again until you manually delete the filelock folder !!

Both my iMac 2011 and my MacBook Pro 2019 show the "fileLock" issue when a document is open and I switch to the Finder. This after I updated both machines to PC9.1.10. Once the document is closed, the filelock file goes away.
