Finger Painting

I’ve had a tool idea kicking around in my head for 20 years, and I thought I would throw it up in the air to see what sort of reactions any of you may have.

The idea comes from looking at wallpaper designs with leaves that have been stretched and distorted as if someone pressed their finger on the leaf, then dragged out to distort the shape. Or pressed their finger outside the leaf and dragged it in the distort the shape.

Like some of the tools in SketchTools, the brush shape could be round or square and with an adjustable size, either in the tool dialog or as done over the drawing with Command-click-drag? (if I remember clearly).

In the programming, it would work same as the Combine and Clip tools, and would combine or clip the brush shape with the shape you are distorting. And I guess we should have Option-click-drag to clip the shape.

Any reactions?

Alfred

Interesting idea Alfred, however given how valuable your time is, personally I wish it was spent on SketchUp integration. It's a selfish request I know.
