Date stamp not updating

This used to work for me, but now it stopped working. I have the tool set to "update regularly", but it never does. Is there something I could be doing wrong that prevents this from working? I did change the default font that it uses. I tried turning off and on the update option but that didn't make any difference. The object is shown as an XTNL Group and is not locked.
