XRef in new Powercadd

Post by Murdock » Mon Mar 14, 2022 11:35 am

Looking forward to seeing the next chapter of Powercadd -

and finally purchasing a new mac :D

Hopefully- it will be all good but the killer feature that would cement my future support is the ability to Xref or External Reference.

Our business started and grew with Powercadd or Powerdraw - but now projects are now bigger, multiple drawings - which Xref can help.

I think this is now considered as a 'basic' in CADD software.

Would that be something that can be considered and incorporated easily?

Great news overall and hope it works out.

Been there for many years...

References menu at top of screen
Will open a standard Mac OS miniFinder window to locate the PCAdd file to place as a reference
More in PowerCADD manual The References Menu page369

also a floating palette to manage them Window Menu -> references...

see screen shots attached for context
Hope that helps

Cheers

Wow.

You CAN teach an old dog new tricks!

I suppose a slight refinement would be xref layers in folders. - it gets a bit messy with multiple Xrefs.

Thanks huc
