Frank, I have been using PowerCadd since PowerDraw 3 and I just register on the forum after finding the news about PC. So I guest there a lot of active user that never registered on this forum. I guest that it should be imported to know the market of PC, if we are to try to save it what ever the solution could be.

I don't think we'll need to convince users of PC... The real challenge would be to find new users. And that could only happen if the program is sold, as it has been suggested, to another company (such as Trimble), if Todd agrees. I know people who use the program and are not registered in the forum. So... Is it too far-fetched to try, as a group, to make a pitch to other companies? Connections? Persuasive strategies? I've shown PC to people who didn't even know it existed and find it excellent, so it is still a very relevant package. I've tried to find alternatives and, quite frankly, I'm suffering trying to rewire my brain ;-)

Eduardo may have hit the nail on the head: new users. New users who don't have years of legacy drawings to be concerned about and who probably would not jump through some sort of VM/Parallels, OS, etc. hoops in order to use the software. Some type of M1/OS rewrite is going to be necessary sooner or later if PC/WT is to continue.

The news regarding PowerCADD is not totally unexpected, however it's profoundly disappointing.......With PowerCADD shutting down....

Paul
What is the "news regarding PowerCADD?
Is PowerCADD indeed shutting down?

It is disconcerting that this thread has been dormant for nine days.

It's "Life after/beyond PC" that's been active. Not exactly the same theme, but they sort of intertwine.

Well it was bound to happen. My late 2009 iMac just ate it's graphics card and they're like hens teeth.
I am assuming that PC will not run on a new iMac running OS 11.5. Is this true?

Yep, it won’t. The only solution for now is to get another older Mac (2014 Mini if you have another screen) with an older OS - not newer than Mojave)
