New PowerCADD screenshot!
Re: New PowerCADD screenshot!
What I have been seeing and hearing is encouraging...
is the Beta stable or are there many glitches to work through?
So anxious to get my hands on the updated program.
How far off do you think it is?

The screenshot is a recent project done in PC9. It opened flawlessly in PC10. So far, the program seems stable enough on my platform. But now on my wish list is for the development team to concentrate on the activation of tools such as to make this program the truly powerful software that PC9 was.

John: Thanks for clarifying.....I was trying to figure out how you did some of the plan symbols.....like doors...you'd have to use multiple tools in PC10 to create the door.
Re: New PowerCADD screenshot!
My initial test from PC9 to PC10 encountered only minor issues.

We've learned to create projects that are under inexperienced individuals. However, many mistakes are still made.

Is the PC10 at a point where we can start to use it to produce/print a set of drawings ? I am holding off buying a new computer for now as I do not really want to run 2 computers.
Thx

Re: New PowerCADD screenshot!
I can give you my personal opinion, I am in need of a new laptop, I was going to abandon PC10 and get an M3 Mac. But having seen the progress made in the Beta, I have decided to buy a second hand Intel Mac and use Parallels to keep me going until the release of PC10. For me, the Beta looks great when I dabble with it, but I can't use it for my main projects. There is too much missing or not working. I am not a developer, so I am speculating that the release of PC10 won't be very soon, yet I believe it's worth waiting for.

I see what you mean. For some things you have to spell it out. For other things, the plan checker will require you to add it--so why fight it?
Re: New PowerCADD screenshot!
Because you have liability if it isn't perfect... for example when the code changes, for example when activists change grab bar measurements to be measured to the top of the bar instead of the centerline of the bar (this actually happened recently).
A superior method is to refer them to the code and put the responsibility for meeting it where it belongs.
