Don't hold your breath for an update anytime soon!
Re: Update of PowerCADD for MacOS Catalina
Hi,
I've just moved all files to a newer iMac, and unfortunately, allowed it to update to Catalina 10.15.6 this morning. I'm not able to run PowerCADD 9.1.11 anymore (which I guess is the 64 bit issue). Without having Time Machine, any thoughts on how I can revert to Mojave?
Thanks!
Jamie

Powercadd runs well under virtual Mojave OS installed under Parallels. See my previous post (p.4) for a link showing instructions.

Jamie,
I have the Mojave installer on a Google Drive that I can share with you. It's a copy of the original 10.14 installer so after you use it you'd have to use the App Store to get the updates.
PM me if you'd like to get it. It's about 6 GB.

Malcom,
I spoke with Alfred about a month ago about this and set up a separate drive to test it. It works OK, but it seems Parallels is limited to a single monitor when emulating MacOS.
Cheers,
Ralph

Re: Update of PowerCADD for MacOS Catalina
I have attempted to downgrade Catalina to Mojave on my Mac Pro late 2019 using Matt Arnold's post of Mar 4, 2020, as a guide:
https://www.engsw.com/PowerCADDForum/vi ... 5&start=30
and Howard in Durham's post of Mar 6, 2020, where he draws attention to a 'shop.smalldog.com' blog in relation to stategies for moving from Mojave to Catalina and also following the smalldog blog instructions for downgrading from Catalina to Mojave on machines which include to T2 security chip (which the Mac Pro late 2019 does). It involves allowing external booting from the Security Utility on the Recovery partition:
https://shop.smalldog.com/blog/2020/02/ ... -catalina/
I created a time Machine backup of my iMac 18.3 running 10.14.6. I can't get it to work. It comes up wit a dialog box which states:
"You can't restore from this backup because it was created by a different model of Mac. Try restoring from a different backup or reinstall MacOS and then transfer your information from a Time Machine backup using Migration Assistant"
Has anyone succeeded in downgrading a MacPro7.1 (late 2019) from Catalina to Mojave?

Re: Update of PowerCADD for MacOS Catalina
Normally, I’m not an early adopter (having been burned a few times), but I am anxious to have PC become Catalina (& onward) compatible. Right now, I’m on a late 2015 iMac, iPhone 6 and (who knows what generation) iPad Pro. I’d like all of my devices to work at the same level, so I can truly experience the Apple lifestyle. It’s a pain to read about some relatively new feature, but not be able to use it because my devices are too old, because I am waiting for PC to catch up. Please release that 64 bit version of PowerCADD soon, so I can modernize all my devices.

You can actually still download older OSs from Apple. They still have them buried deep in their servers if you know where to dig.
AppleInsider has an excellent article on how to download them here:

Re: Update of PowerCADD for MacOS Catalina
Thanks for the recommendations. I'm going to try the re-install of the older system.
Any word on when the update may arrive? Is it still scheduled for 2020?
Thanks again.

Re: Update of PowerCADD for MacOS Catalina
Still running Mojave on my 2019 MacBook Pro and El Capitan on my mid 2011 iMac. ON my iMac, web browsing is becoming an adventure as some sites simply do not read on computers running OS X earlier than Sierra. Will have to wait for the 64 bit PowerCADD prior to upgrading my iMac.
